The
Bandra Worli Sea-Link
links the island
city of Mumbai
with its western suburbs.
At
present, Mahim causeway is the only link connecting western suburbs to
island
city of Mumbai. It
is estimated that almost 1,40,000
vehicles use this route every single
day during peak hours, crossing over 23
traffic signals
and it
takes about forty
minutes to one hour to
travel from Mahim to Worli, a distance of about 8 km
|
|
|
With
its construction, a fast link connection between island city to the
western suburbs is now available . ,
the distance
will be reduced to 5.6 km
which can be traversed in just six to eight
minutes (with only 4 traffic signals now falling in between).
