Why richer mix requires a lower content
of fine sand?
For
a mix to be sufficiently workable, it must contain sufficient amount of
material smaller than a 300 μm (No. 50 ASTM) sieve. Since the cement
particles
are included in this material, a richer mix requires a lower content of
fine
sand as compared to a lean mix.
