The gradation
of cement is basically due to the difference in potential phase
composition of
clinker such as C2S, C3S, etc. In view of this,
the addition of Pozzolana
to cement manufactured will not hold good for any cement gradation for
PPC.
As
such, BIS does not stipulate any
grades for PPC . Many engineers
feel that this restricts them from economizing the use of PPC
